My journey with essential oils

started when I decided to address my hypothyroid condition naturally. I was destined to rely on prescription drugs for the rest of my life. In 2020, after exploring alternative natural ways to healing, I resolved to take control and address the cause (rather than the symptom) and heal holistically.

Essential oils became the answer that has been integral to my healing and holistic well-being. With a desire to treat my thyroid with the power of nature, I began applying several essential oils topically, primarily to the thyroid gland area. I added essential oils to my veggie juices as well.  The addition of essential oils along with changes to my diet, sleeping pattern and a more active lifestyle cured my reliance on prescription meds. It’s now been two years and my periodic thyroid tests confirms that there indeed were more viable natural alternatives. 

The journey did not end there!  An extensive evaluation of the products I used on the skin and body and the daily use of household products ensued. Pure essential oils offered an alternative to synthetic products in a plethora of ways. Armed with results, I incorporated oils and supplements to support my digestion, concentration and energy. I also added floral and minty scents for restorative and reflective times.

What began with a healthy curiosity to address my thyroid, expanded to numerous household products that I now rely on daily. With my newfound awareness, the household products not only had more organic healthier ingredients, but resulted in noticeable improvement in complexion, hair, digestion, focus and energy levels as well as my chi. My experience is by no means a wholesale replacement of one’s prescribed meds, but rather viable natural alternatives to some medications and an improvement in our everyday use of household products.
